ADHD and Struggles at School

The piece I wrote for the Daily Telegraph included some detail from my book that has just been published Better Late Than Never about how I had to produce my school reports for my adult ADHD diagnosis. The headline “My messiness exasperated my teachers” was what captured the editors’ interest in this complex disorder.

I hope to add another piece from the Daily Telegraph after an interview with one of their newly diagnosed journalists – who wants to talk to me about sharing common symptoms. Watch this space…

  1. Just heard about your book on this morning’s Woman’s Hour. Our 15 year old daughter was diagnosed with ADD in January and thankfully started medication in March, just before lockdown. Thank you for giving her 50 year old menopausal mother the courage to seek help for herself!

    1. Good luck with it Laura – and keep going. It is quite liberating to be on the other side – I promise. Remember to value your positive traits (which are many) and yourself and keep persisting if you are taking the NHS route. You are Worth It!
